Q: If I order my Xtreme Mats through another site, will I still receive a free water sensor?
A: No. Only purchases through this website are eligible for the free water sensor promotion. You will receive ONE free water sensor at checkout.

Q: Can I cut the mat to fit around my plumbing?
A: Yes! Please check out our how-to guide and Step Drill Bit attachment that make modifications a breeze. If you have ANY questions about sizing, please call us at 407-392-0950.

Q: Do you make custom size mats?
A: No. If you e-mail us at customerservice@xtrememats.com with your cabinet dimensions we will find you the best fit. We are always taking suggestions so if you have a size you think we should be making, please drop us a line and we'll take it into consideration with our next roll-out.  If you have ANY questions about sizing, please call us at 407-392-0950.

Q: Do you offer discounts for purchasing in bulk?
A: Yes! Send us an e-mail with a bulk quantity estimate!

Q: How does your shipping work?
A: The mats are shipped in large boxes ranging from 29" x 21" x 2" up to 39" x 23" x 2" with a maximum of 3 mats per box. If you order more than 9 mats they will ship in case packs of up to 20 in boxes 30" x 25" x 5" up to 39" x 25" x 6". We ship via Fedex and therefore cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. We do not usually ship outside of the continental United States. If you live in Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, or other US Territory, contact us at customerservice@xtrememats.com or call 407-392-0950 for shipping arrangements. Please save your box until you are sure the mat is the right size for you; you will need it in the event you need to return or exchange the mat!

Q: Does Xtreme Mats offer military discounts or first responder discounts?
A: Yes! We are proud to support our troops with an exclusive Military, Armed Forces, and First Responders discount. Q: How do I measure my cabinet so I can purchase the right size mat?
A: Measure the inside of your cabinet from front to back and side to side.  Make sure to check the location of the plumbing lines and note if they are coming through the bottom of the cabinet.  If they are coming through the floor of the cabinet, are you prepared to retrofit the mat to accomodate the pipes?  If you have ANY questions about sizing, please call us at 407-392-0950.

Q: Will the Xtreme Mats fit my kitchen cabinet base?
A: We manufactured our mats to fit multiple cabinet manufacturers. Our mats are pliable and flare out to make up the difference from one cabinet manufacturer to another.  The two sizes you see for each mat on the size chart are the mat's minimum and maximum dimension--depending on if they are flared out or forced in.  Your cabinet MUST be LARGER than the minimum dimension of the mat you are purchasing.  If you have ANY questions about sizing, please call us at 407-392-0950.

Q: Will the cabinet mat fit in a base cabinet with a center post?
A: Yes. It can be flexed around the center post. If you have ANY questions about sizing, please call us at 407-392-0950.

Q: Where do I place the water detector?
A: The circle indent in the center rear of the mat is specially designed to house the water sensor unit.  If the mat is installed correctly, the water sensor indent will be in the back of the cabinet and the words "Xtreme Mat" will be along the right side of the cabinet.  The walls for the front and back of the mat are flared differently on purpose so it is important that you install the mat correctly.

Q: Can I replace the battery in my free water sensor?
A: No, the water sensors are good for 2 years from the date of purchase. If your alarm ever goes off before expiration, we suggest purchasing a replacement ASAP. If you purchase a NEW Xtreme Water Sensor, the battery is replaceable. 

Q: Is there a front or back to the mats?
A: Yes. The back has a circle in the center of the mat for the water sensor.  Ideally, the water sensor will be in the rear of the cabinet.  If the mat is installed correctly, the water sensor indent will be in the back of the cabinet and the words "Xtreme Mat" will be along the right side of the cabinet.  The walls for the front and back of the mat are flared differently on purpose so it is important that you install the mat correctly.

Q: Is there a difference between kitchen, bath and laundry mats?
A: Yes, the majority of kitchen cabinets are 24" deep, standard bathrooms are 21" deep. Laundry cabinets vary in size depending on the builder; please measure. Custom cabinets are exactly that, custom, you will need to measure. We strongly suggest measuring the width and depth of your cabinets before placing the order.  All of our bathroom mats have 18 7/8" depths and our kitchen mats have 21 7/8" depths with the option of expanding another 5/8" deeper if needed. If you have ANY questions about sizing, please call us at 407-392-0950.

Q: Will this mat work if my cabinet base is rotted out.?
A: Yes, we suggest replacing the rotted wood on the floor of the cabinet. Another option is to dry out the floor of the cabinet and have your local home improvement store cut a bottom panel to size using 1/8 inch wood stock. After installing the new bottom over the old then install our Xtreme Mat.

Q: What can I use to clean my mat?
A: Yes, our mats can be washed with any type of dish detergent or degreaser.  To clean your mat use mild soap and water, and a damp sponge or cloth. Do not use any other household cleansers such as, but not limited to, window cleaners, floor cleaners, polishes, or all purpose cleaners. Upon cleaning your mat, dry throughly before reinstalling within the cabinet. Prolonged exposure to moisture / liquid may cause mold or mildew and / or damage to your cabinet base

Q: How soon does my order ship?
A: Most orders ship the same business day if the order is received before 2 P.M. EST. If you are not able to place your order by 2 P.M. EST, the order will ship the following business day. We do not ship on weekends. Orders placed during holidays will be shipped the next business day.

Q: What do I do if I need to return my order?
A: Contact us at customerservice@xtrememats.com with your information and transaction number so we can issue a return authorization number and process your refund faster. Please do not return anything before getting this number or your return will not be processed. Please save your box until you are sure the mat is the right size for you; you will need it in the event you need to return or exchange the mat!

Q: Should my cabinet base be dry before installing my new cabinet mat?
A: Yes. When cleaning your cabinet, please ensure it is completely dried before placing the mat. Our mats are waterproof therefore, if any moisture / liquid becomes trapped under the mat it will not dry. Prolonged exposure to moisture / liquid may cause mold or mildew and / or damage your cabinet base.
